Why lemon water?


Why should you be drinking lemon water every single day? The average person does not know the true benefits of drinking of lemon water because lemons are actually quite amazing.


  1. Fatty liver. By drinking lemon water on a regular basis you have the potential to reduce a fatty liver. It is the phytonutrients in the lemons that have the ability to greatly improve hepatic (the liver) steatosis (the infiltration of fat into the liver). Lemon water has the ability to dissolve the fat in the liver.


  2. Cholesterol. It can help reduce it. Lemon water can help increase the flow of bile through the bile ducts and help remove some of the excess cholesterol.


  3. Weight loss. Certain phytonutrients in lemon water stimulate significantly lower blood sugars. They reduce insulin resistance, and lower insulin which will help you loose weight.


  4. Antiaging. Lemon has an antiaging effect and could extend your life.


  5. Cancer. It helps to inhibit cancer. In some testing it was found that certain phytonutrients in lemon water were able to kill malignant cancers of the tongue, lung and colon.


  6. Reduction of kidney stones. Citrate in lemon juice binds with oxalate. The most common kind of kidney stones are calcium oxalate stones. Citrates in your body can prevent the stones from occurring. If you have kidney stones, increase the amount of fresh lemon juice you drink daily to 1/2 to one cup.


  7. Vitamin C. It only comes from real lemons that have not been heated like bottled lemon juice as it's pasteurized. One lemon can provide up to half your daily recommended Vitamin C. It's good for the immune system, and to prevent bleeding gums and spider veins. It helps form collagen.


  8. Phytonutrients. There are quite a few in lemons which help to improve hemorrhoids, leg sores, circulation, spider veins and varicose veins. It is antibacterial and has antiviral properties, as well as antifungal properties.


Definitely add lemons to your water - a couple of teaspoons to a whole lemon daily. Add apple cider vinegar if desired.
